Little Moore Cove Falls
Also known as: Moore Cove Falls 2
This waterfall is on Moore Cove Creek itself. Moore Cove Falls is on the next tributary east. This one is about 1/2 as high as its better-known cousin, which is where the Moore Cove trail ends. Unfortunately for photographers, this one tends to have a lot of downfall at the bottom.
From Moore Cove Falls, go back down the trail and take the path to the right that goes through the large (now closed) campsite. Pick up the faint path leading up the left side of the other stream to the west, and you'll reach the falls shortly. This is not an easy path, and it merges with the stream before reaching the falls, so it's not really kid-friendly like Moore Cove is. This is the path and waterfall shown on the old USGS topo maps of the area - not the larger one most people go to now.
